Petite Feet Classes

Introduce your little one to dance in a supportive, nurturing and developmentally appropriate environment. Designed just for dancers ages 3 to 6, we take a holistic approach, teaching the whole child using art, science, health, culture and knowledge. Classes are held mid-September through mid-May and focus on listening, coordination and rhythmic skills while teaching basic steps, combinations and vocabulary.

Petite Feet I for 3 & 4 Year Olds

This first level of preschool age dance is a fun introductory class where students become familiar with the dance studio setting, learn basic steps and vocabulary, as well as social and listening skills. Students start exploring foundational ballet material before adding introductory tap skills starting in December. Students who participate in the yearly session have the opportunity to perform in the year-end recital at the Oconomowoc Arts Center.

Class length: 45 minutes

Petite Feet II for 5 & 6 year olds

This second level of primary school aged dance is for students under the age of 7. Students focus on taking direction, learning more coordination and combinations of ballet steps, distinguishing right from left and exploring musical dynamics and rhythm. The foundational concepts explored in both ballet and tap techniques in Petite Feet I are reviewed and expanded upon in this class. Students who participate in the yearly session have the opportunity to perform in the year-end recital at the Oconomowoc Arts Center.

Class length: 45 minutes.
